Prior to moving I worked as a technical publications manager for Broadcom<\/a>, a US multinational that design and manufactures semiconductors. Your TV probably uses one of the chips I used to document. Your home router almost definitely does. I loved my job! <\/p>\n\n\n\n Then I discovered that I could bring together my skills in content writing and website creation (something I’d been doing informally for many years) were the perfect combination of talents for working in digital. This, combined with my love of problem solving and my years of troubleshooting my own IT-related issues, led to the creation of Languedoc 121 Tech<\/strong>. If you would like to know more about my skills and background, my full employment history is on LinkedIn.<\/a><\/p>\n\n\n\n The name of this business breaks all the rules I tell my clients when working on their website and choosing a domain – but for me it just worked so I went with it.<\/p>\n\n\n\n First, the region in which is live is the Languedoc region of the South of France (now Occitanie). “Langue” translated from French to English means language, of course, but also tongue. In this area they used to say “d’oc” instead of “yes” (or, more accurately, oui). Given I’m a tech writer at heart the combination of yes, language! is one that makes sense to me. Of course 121 to because that’s how I work: with you and for you on your project, and then tech because, well, it’s all about technology one way or the other.<\/p>\n\n\n\n If it’s all about me, who’s the “us”? Aside from content and tech, I also love managing teams and projects, which is why I’m delighted that the business has now grown to the extent that I can involve other freelancers, most of whom also have corporate backgrounds, and help bring teams together to contribute to yours and our successes.<\/p>\n\n\n\n My team includes graphic designers and branding experts, social media coaches and managers, full stack web developers, and security experts.
