Website DESIGN and DEVELOPMENT

OUR WEBDESIGN TOOLSET
We build websites with WordPress using one of the best lightweight themes available. Our current recommendations are Blocksy, Kadence, and Ocean WP as these offer a wide range of customisations and also good speed performance. They are from established and reputable development teams and are regulary maintained.
For custom layouts we combine one of the templates above Elementor OR use the Hello Theme with Elementor. Other plugins we use for custom development includes Advanced Custom Fields (ACF) Pro, Search and Filter Pro, and Custom UI.

Coding and Custom Development
As well as working with popular CMS tools and pagebuilders, we also work with a hand-picked team of developers who can build and maintain website using PHP. Projects can be custom-coded or built around one of the PHP frameworks, such as Laravel. A custom build is recommended for large e-commerce projects and anything with very bespoke functionality – plus projects that are intended to also function as apps.
Translations and Multi-lingual Websites
We are based in the EU and work with clients whose customers are based Worldwide. We use Polylang and TranslatePress on our WordPress sites to create multilingual sites in any number of or combination of languages. Machine and automatic translations work up to a point but to be truly global in your reach you need your text to be translated by a native speaker. The tools we use require that you provide the text – and if you don’t have the expertise to provide this, we can also provide this service for your via one of our trusted partners.
Branding and IDENTITY
Your company brand is important! We ensure that your site has a consistent look and feel and advise all our clients to have a professionally designed logo and brand image. f you already have this, great! We will work with what you have. If you are looking to refresh your image or you’re just starting out, we can advise you on the steps to take to improve your image and ensure you are appealing to your target audience.
We then design your site around your chosen color palette, typefaces, and can also work with you to create business cards and other promotional materials, as well as creating re-usuable templates for your invoices, emails, and other client communications.
Hosting
If you’re running an online business, it can be daunting choosing a company to host your site and understanding all the options that are available. We host your site using GDPR-compliant servers based in the UK. - up to 3 add-on domains, meaning you can run three websites from a single hosting account (within the allocated traffic/memory limits);
- access to your email via webmail and POP/IMAP;
